A Celebration of Life for Mrs. Lunette M. Brigham, Thursday, December 27, 2007, 11:00 A.M.

My Cast Request
Please dont say that I gave up
Just say that I gave in
Dont say I lost the battle
For it was Gods war to lose or win
Please dont say how good I was
But that I did my best
Just say I tried to do whats right
To give the most I could, not to do less
Please dont give me wings or halos
Thats for God to do
I want no more than I desire
No extras, just my due
Please dont give me flowers or
Talk in harsh tones
Dont be concerned about me now
Im well with God
Ive made it home
Dont talk about what could have been
Its over and its done
Just see to all my familys needs
The battle has been won
When you draw a picture of me
Dont draw me as a saint
Ive done some good
Ive done some wrong, so use all your paint
Not just the bright and light tones
Use some gray and dark
In fact, dont put me down on canvas
Paint me in your heart
Dont just remember all the good times
But remember all the bad
For life is full of many things
Some happy and some sad
But if you must do something
Then I have one last request
Forgive me for the wrongs Ive done
And with the love thats left
Thank God for my souls resting
Thank God for all who loved me
Praise God who loved me best

Obituary
If I have helped somebody as I passed along,
then my living shall not be in vain.
An earthly journey ended on Friday, December 21, 2007
when Lunette Miller Brigham departed this life.
Lunette Miller Brigham was born October 5, 1931, to
the late Mr. Thomas Miller and Mrs. Lunette Thompkins
James in Augusta, Georgia.
She was united in Holy Matrimony to Henry H. Brigham,
Sr. on December 27, 1957. To this union were added two
devoted children: Henry H. Brigham II and Ms. Deborah
(Davis) Wilcox.
At an early age, Mrs. Brigham joined and was baptized at
Pierce Grove Baptist Church in Martinez, Georgia. She
continued in faith and transferred her membership to
Mount Zion African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church in
Augusta, Georgia under Reverend Lacy J. Cochrane. She
served in various capacities for over 40 years at Mt. Zion.
Mrs. Brigham attended public schools in Augusta, Georgia
including Haines Normal and Industrial Institute. Mrs.
Brigham completed her Bachelor of Science degree in
Biology at Paine College (52). Her career with the
Richmond County Board of Education spanned 30 years
beginning at Weed Elementary School, A. R. Johnson
