MRS. ANITA BOLER was born in Waynesboro, Georgia to the late Reverend Willie C. Carter, Sr. and
the late Anita Carter. Mrs. Boler peacefully entered into rest Tuesday, August 7, 2018. She was preceded
in death by her husband, Mason Boler, Jr., three brothers, Leonidas Carter, James Carter and John Carter,
godparents, William and Catherine Burke, and godparents, William and Irma Brooks. ANITA was a 1954
graduate of Lucy C. Laney High School.
ANITA worked for the Richmond County Board of Education for five years as the Hornsby Elementary
Cafeteria Manager until 1969.
At a time in history when minority owned businesses was rare, ANITA accepted the challenge when
Mason decided to go into business for himself. She stood beside him and supported his dream.
ANITA BOLER and her husband, Mason Boler, Jr., were the original co-owners and operators of the
Wife Saver on Highland Avenue and Masons Chicken & Seafood Restaurants. ANITA worked tirelessly
turning this vision into a flourishing reality. Her personality, managerial skills, keen sense for detail, and
unwavering strength molded her into a successful businesswoman. She had a genuine love for people,
she took the time to properly train and educate all her employees. Everyone who worked for her learned
meaningful skills.
ANITA was a member of Thankful Baptist Church and Servants of God Baptist Church, where she served
on the Deaconess Board.
In addition to being an awesome cook, she was a talented seamstress. After working all day, she spent her
nights sewing. She was an avid reader who ensured that all her children understood the value of education
and strong work ethic.
ANITA tackled every storm this disease threw at her with resilience. Despite all she had to endure, she
was determined that she was going to do it her way. She beat the odds on life expectancy for Alzheimers
patients. Her priority was her children who she loved unconditionally until the moment she took her last
breath.
ANITA BOLER leaves a legacy of love and memories to: her loving children, Charone Boler'Law, Marcella

Somewhere in my heart beneath all my grief and pain,
Is A SMILE I still wear at the sound of your dear name.
The precious word is MOTHER, she was my world you see,
But now my heart is breaking cause shes no longer here with me.
God chose her for His angel to watch me from above,
To guide me and advise me and know that Im still loved.
The day she had to leave me when her life on earth was through,
God had better plans for her, for this, I surely knew.
When I think of her kind heart and all those loving years,
My memories surround me and I cant hold back the tears.
She truly was my best friend, someone I could confide in,
She always had a tender touch and a warm and gentle grin.
I want to thank you Mother for teaching me so well,
And though the time has come that I must bid you this farewell.
Ill remember all youve taught me and make you proud youll see.
Thank you my Dear Mother for all the love you showed me.
Although youve left this earth and now youve taken flight,
I KNOW THAT YOU ARE HERE WITH ME EACH MORNING, NOON AND NIGHT.
We, the Boler and Carter Family, are appreciative and grateful for all of the prayers, thoughts, and acts of
kindness that have been expressed to us during our bereavement. May the good Lord bless all of you and
may Gods mercy and grace shine upon you. - With Love, The Boler and Carter Family
