Mr. C. H. Douglass,
Douglass Theatre,
Macon, Georgia.
Dear Mr. Douglass:
I am enclosing herewith copy of letter I sent to Indianapolis -- I hope this meets with your approval.
We were all sorry, that you could not be with us at our last meeting. However, there was nothing of importance transacted, and the few matters, like the declaring of Dividends, the purchase of Stock, which was offered by several Stockholders, etc. [et cetera], was referred to the next annual meeting, which will be held in January, and I hope you will find it possible to be present at that time.
The matters that were transacted at the meeting will be published in the Colored News papers [Newspapers] of the current Issue, and I trust meets with your approval.
Please let me know if Harry Clark returned your tickets.
I wish to call to your attention the fact, that Mr. Bailey told me that $25.00 commission would be paid for the Bessie Smith Unit any where [anywhere] it is played -- I hope he told you of this, and will thank you to mail check for $25.00 for the week of July 27th --]
