Dear Sir:.
I received two letters from you today dated the 12th in the one where you state that you will bring tanner up to fight anyone I put him against for 30% of the receipts and you pay his transportation and come up and advertise sounds alright [all right] to me. I realise [realize] just what you are up against I will have to give the boy that fights him 15% if he wins and 10% if he loses and then pay the other boys and then I will have to pay for the picture program that the fight will kill and then all the advertising. This will not be the first fight here I put the first on about two weeks agoe [ago] and had a fair house and I am putting one one [on] this week as a elimation [elimination] contest to get the boy to Fight Tanner I will announce this before the fight the boy that wins will be matched against Texas Tanner and in that way get our advertising started. I believe if we work this thing right that we can do a good business. As stated above I will pay you 30% of the entire box office receipts as Tanners share of the purse and we will try and put the fight on July 26th. if these terms are satisfactory you can use this as a contract. Have several letters from promoters in Atlanta and while you are up here you might be able to arrange a bout in Atlanta. Let me hear from you upon receipt of this letter and I can start the Ball rolling.
Yours Very Truly
