- Clifford "Baldy" Baldowski cartoon depicts a wrecked box car which has been derailed off a railroad track. A sign of its side says "U.S. economy." A sign on the front of the car says "National Democratic Issues Conference." Numerous men are ripping out the railroad ties. Next to the wreckage is a bus driven by a donkey that yells to the men "-- As long as we don't know what to do next, let's get out of here!"
