- Description:
- This recording begins with a man by thanking the congregation for their attendance, followed by a Bishop thanking Terrill for his leadership in the General Missionary Baptist Convention of Georgia (GMBCGA). He reads a short message of “All Things to All Men”, about ministering to the poor. He calls on the pastors in the audience to donate money to the meeting, and talks about buying the house on Ashby Street in Atlanta to create a GMBCGA headquarters. Women delivers reports from the Women’s Department followed by testifying about working for the convention. A man reads Psalms 37:1 and introduces Pastor J. I. McCreary of Greater Liberty Hill Baptist Church, who delivers a sermon on how man can sin, but still have the ability to correct themselves, referencing the poor choices in the Vietnam war. He warns people about being kicked out of the Garden of Eden, leading to an enthusiastic call and response with the congregation.
