- Lenore Willis recounts her WWII experiences working for Western Electric in New Jersey from 1942 until 1947. She married her husband, Donald Willis, during the war and he was in the Navy, Skipper of Ship, stationed in the Pacific. He was 22 years old when he skippered a ship of 65 crew members. He was on the way to Japan when the atomic bomb was dropped. His ship went to Okinawa after VJ-Day. His ship was one of the first to enter Japan after VJ-Day.
