- Description:
- Walter Thomas Walls recounts his service during WWII. He entered the Navy in 1944 as a volunteer on the USS Atlanta. He trained as a gunnery serving in the Pacific theater. His ship was off the coast of Japan during the first land bombardment. Mr. Walls also served during the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired in 1966.
