- Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Owensby recount their WWII experiences. Mr. Owensby joined the Marine Corp in 1943 landing in Guam/Pelelu and Guadalcanal. He was in occupied China. He was called back to service during the Korean War eventually retiring from service in 1975. Mr. Owensby, a native of Winterville, Georgia, discusses the history of the area.
