- Dr. John McPherson recounts his service in WWII as a surgeon in Texas and then overseas in England from 1943 to spring1944. After England he then embarked to France to set up the first hospital after D-Day. He served with the 5th General Hospital Group during WWII. He was later sent to Germany where he saw survivors of concentration camps.
