- Description:
- The Kings recount their WWII experiences. Mr. King was drafted in Janurary 1943 going to England in August. He was assigned to Wales where he met his wife and worked at U. S. Army Corp transportation headquarters until July 1944. He later landed at Omaha Beach after D-Day providing fuel for General Patton. Mr. King spent the rest of the war in Paris returning to London, briefly, to travel to Wales to marry Mollie.
