- Fred Edinger recounts his WWII experiences joining the Army in 1940 and serving with the 25th Division, nicknamed Tropic Lightning. He was stationed in Hawaii in March 1941 and was present when the attack on Pearl Harbor occurred defending Honolulu. He worked at company headquarters in communications. Mr. Edinger also served in the Battle of Guadalcanal relieving Marines at Henderson Field.
