- Ellen Bryan, wife of William Bryan, managing editor of the Atlanta Journal during WWII, discusses her husband's service during the war. William Bryan was with the 1st paratroopers at the invasion of Normandy, France on D-Day. He was captured by the Germans and freed by the Russians in Poland. Mr. Bryan was one of the first correspondents to report from Paris after liberation. He served with General Patton.
