Hegraduatedfrom Risley High School in Brunswtc~ Georgia and proceeded to Fort Valley State University where he earned a bachelors degree in Healt~ Pbystcal Education and Recreation in 1967 He taught at Washington Central High
School in Georgiafor a number ofyearsprior to matrtculating to the University of Georgia in Athens. At UGA, he earned
