Uncloudv Dav
0 they tell me ofa home far beyond the skies. 0 they tell me ofa home far away. 0 they tell me ofa home where no storm
clouds rise.
0 they tell me of an Uncloudv Day.
0 they tell of a King in His beauty there And they tell me that mine eyes shall behold Where He sits on the throne that is whiter
than snow. In this city that is made ofgold.
0 they tell me of that land of an Uncloudv Dav.
0 they tell me that He smiles on His children
there. And this srnile dries their sorrow all away. And they tell me that no tears ever come
agaJn. In that lovely land of an Uncloudv Dav.

OBITUARY
For I am now ready to be offered, and the time of my departure is at hand I have fought a goodfight. I have finished my course. I have kept the faith:
II Timothy 4:6,7
The first chapter of life for Gus Rawlings, Jr. began January 30, 1914 in Jones County. The final chapter ofthis life ended on Sunday, August 20, 2000.
Mr. Rawlings was born to the parentage of the late Gus Rawlings, Sr. and the late Mamie Rawlings Mercer. He was a life long resident of Jones County. Mr. Rawlings was employed with the Jones County Lumber Mill, Jones County Board of Education, and the Jenkins Egg Farm.
He was married to Louise B. Rawlings. Gus joined Ellis Chapel Baptist Church at an early life and attended until failing health. Two daughters, Martha R Andrews and Christine R. Thrasher preceded him in death.
Those who are left to cherish his memory: wife, LOUISE B. RAWLINGS; four daughters, EUNICE DRISKEL (SAMUEL) of Gray, Georgia, MARY RAWLINGS, ALICE CURRY and VICKIE HILL all of Macon, Georgia; three sons, RANDY BROWN (DAPHNE) and JOHN BROWN (GLORIA} both of Macon, Georgia, and LARRY BROWN (ClAUDIA) of Flushing, New York.
He also leaves to cherish his memory two sisters, CLEMMIE LEWIS and ROSSIE PALMORE of Cincinnati, Ohio; four sisters-in-law, SARA J. HARVEY, GUSSIE RAWLINGS, ESSIE RAWLINGS, and ELICIA L. BROWN; two brothers-in-law, JOHN HARVEY of Macon, PERCY PINKINSTON of Ohio; two sons-in-law, BOBBY THRASHER and JOSEPH ANDREWS. Forty-two grandchildren, forty-six great grandchildren, eleven great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
They shall hunger no more, neither thirst any more: neither shall the sun light on them, nor any heat. For the lamb which is in the midst ofthe throne shall feed them, and shall lead them unto living fountains ofwaters: and God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes.
Revelation 7:16, 17

MvLtfe
I can not go back into time And live again this life of mine. No doubt there are somethings I regret People and places, I would never want to forget. I thank God for the life I've had "My choices" I made whether "good or bad." I know my life followed the Master's plan All along my life's journey, I saw the works of his hand.
So grieve not, better still Rejoice and be glad, this is our Father's will Know my days were numbered, I've don<? what I had to do. What lies behind me. Lies ahead of you. Live each moment in the present, letting go of the past. Hold me close always in your heart, there my memories will last.
Learnfrom "my life", and seek his will. Live "your life" and your destiny fulfill. Remember my life had a purpose and a plan. I leave you now, but we shall meet again in that Promise Land.
Vickie Rawlings Hill
