Jesus promised us that those who mourn shall be comforted during the hours of bereavement. The promise has been fulfilled by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We thank you for your love and understanding, prayers, your cards of sympathy, food, flower, visits, and telephone calls. For all these things we say "Thanks".

On December 24, 1935, a beautiful baby girl was born in Hancock County, Sparta, Georgia to the late Mr. and Mrs. Bunnie (Leanne Mathis) Roberts. She was the youngest girl of eight children.
On Tuesday, June 17, 2014 at the age of 78, she entered into eternal rest.
She obtained her education in Hancock County Public Schools. She joined Hickory Grove Baptist Church at an early age and served faithfully until relocating to Gwinnett and DeKalb County.
Ms. Oliver's passion was her family and she will be remembered by her wonderful food, warm smile and pleasant disposition. Ms. Oliver's past-times were watching Braves baseball games, fishing and listening to those good old blues.
Ms. Oliver worked at the Holiday Inn in DeKalb County as a Housekeeper for many, many years. As her health began to decline, she retired and took care of her brother, Mr. John Roberts.
By faith Thelma Mae Oliver chose to relocate from Dei<alb County to reside with a caring, devoted niece, Helen Ellison and family Gerry-Brandon) who was her primary caregtvers.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mr. Willie Oliver; sister, Ms. Jessie Mae Roberts; brothers, Mr. Charlie Roberts, Mr. Gordon Roberts, Mr. James Roberts, Mr. John Roberts and Mr. L.E. Roberts. She was the loving mother of one son, Mr. Eddie Gene Roberts that also preceded her in death.
She leaves fond memories in the hearts of four grandchildren, Tony Roberts (Denise) of Dei<alb County, Georgia; Bernard Roberts, Timothy Roberts and Lavette Roberts of Rockdale County, Georgia; daughter-in-law, Ms. Leila Mae Roberts of DeKalb County, Georgia; brother, Mr. Heyward Roberts of Tampa, Florida; sister, Ms. Bernice Lovelace of Dei<alb County, Georgia; ten great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews all who loved her dearly.
