Ralph joined Neriah Baptist Church at an early age under the leadership of Rev. R.N. Martin. Ralph attended South Fulton High School. He was married to Lula Bell Freeman of Thomaston, Georgia; this union was blessed with two children. Later in life he became employed as a construction worker. His last employment was at The Atlanta Journal and Constitution.
Ralph leaves to cherish his memory two sons, Larry Freeman (Mary Jo) and Ralph Tyrone Freeman; two daughters, Regina Freeman and Shanta Freeman; one sister, Hilda Thurmond; twelve grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren; and a host of other family and friends.
Peace
God saw the road was getting rough The hills were hard to climb.
He gently closed those loving eyes And whispered, "Peace be Thine."
The weary hours, the days of pain, The sleepless nights are passed.
The ever patient worn-out frame Has found s1.ueet rest at last.
