- Jim Stone recounts his WWII experiences as a pilot in the Army Air Corps, member of the 99th bomb group flying missions over the Balkans, bombing oil fields. His plane was shot down and he and his crew were held as prisoners of war in Romania in 1944. He was released and returned to the United States where he was assigned as an instructor in flight training until the end of the war.
