- Postcard (sepia, white border, divided back, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches) titled Scottish National War Memorial Gallery of Honour, View Looking West. - The Scottish National War Memorial (SNWM) was established by Royal Charter to commemorate the sacrifice of Scots in the Great War, Second World War and subsequent conflicts. The Memorial within Edinburgh Castle houses and displays the Rolls of Honour of Scots servicemen and women from all the Armed Services, the Dominions, Merchant Navy, Women's Services, Nursing Services and civilian casualties of all wars from 1914 to date. Text on reverse: The space to the right and left of the centre bay of the Hall of Honour is divided into four Bays, containing Regimental Memorials, the East Window and Wall forming the Memorial to the Royal Navy and the West Window and Wall the Memorial to the Air Services. Postage required: Inland ½d. Foreign 1d. Printed in Scotland. .
