- Postcard (sepia, white border, divided back, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches) titled Scottish National War Memorial, Royal Navy Memorial - The Scottish National War Memorial (SNWM) was established by Royal Charter to commemorate the sacrifice of Scots in the Great War, Second World War and subsequent conflicts. The Memorial within Edinburgh Castle houses and displays the Rolls of Honour of Scots servicemen and women from all the Armed Services, the Dominions, Merchant Navy, Women's Services, Nursing Services and civilian casualties of all wars from 1914 to date. Text on reverse: The East Windows and All is the Memorial to the Royal Navy, Destroyers, Troopship, Battleship, Submarine, The Border of the window is based on waves and fish forms. The window is flanked by trophies of flags of the Service. Postage required: Inland ½ d. Foreign 1 d. Printed in Scotland.
