- Postcard (color, linen texture, divided back, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches) titled Grandstand and Club House from Paddock, Tropical Park Race Track, Miami, Florida 90. - Tropical Park Race Track was a horse racing facility built in metropolitan Miami, Florida, in what is now Olympia Heights. The race track was built by Bill Dwyer, a prohibition era bootlegger, and Frank Bruen with backing from Canadian distilling tycoon, Samuel Bronfman. It opened on December 26, 1931, and closed in 1972. The track hosted meets for both for Thoroughbred and Standardbred horses. Text on reverse: Grandstand and Club House, Tropical Park. Tropical Park is another of Miami’s famous race-tracks. Its beautifully landscaped acres are the magnet drawing many visitors to its every meet. Postage required 1 cent stamp. Card number 62330.
