- Postcard (color, linen texture, divided back, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches, reprint) titled M-6-Vereen Memorial Hospital. Moultrie, Georgia. In 1939, businessman W.C. Vereen donated $50,000 to build a modern hospital for the growing population. Vereen succeeded in getting a match in funds from the community to complete the project, according to his great-granddaughter Barbara Vereen. The hospital was dedicated on Oct. 17, 1939. In 1976, this building became the Colquitt County Governmental Building. Text on reverse: Moultrie is the county seat of a rich agricultural section. Mixed farming is generally followed: principal products being: corn, cotton, peanuts, tobacco, watermelon, beef cattle, and hogs. Largest meat packing plant in Southern States is located here.
