- Postcard (color, linen texture, white border, divided back, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches) titled The Elder Hotel, Indian Springs, Georgia, featuring a large, white, two story hotel with green shutters and a long porch standing on a hilltop surrounded by stately oaks. The hotel was built in 1903 by Mrs. Texas Elder. People would arrive in horse drawn buggies or trains to enjoy the healing powers of the nearby mineral springs. The cost at that time was $3.00 per day, including 3 meals, $12.50 per week which also included 3 meals a day. It burned to the ground during the 1980s. Text on reverse: Indian Springs Georgia. The noted mineral spring resort. Nowhere can vacationists find more complete relaxation and the most indulged-in-health-giving water than at this historic and ancient resort. All amusements of resort life. Between Atlanta and Macon, Ga. on paved Highway U. S. No. 23. Main line Greyhound buses between Jacksonville, Fla. and Atlanta, Ga. without change.
