- Postcard (color, white border, divided back, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches) titled - Piedmont Hotel - Atlanta- Georgia, featuring a street view of a multi-storied building. The hotel opened on January 15, 1903. It was Atlanta's first "New York" or Northern-style hotel. The architect was Willis F. Denny. The hotel was renovated in 1928–1929 and demolished in 1965. Text on reverse: The Piedmont - A Modern Fireproof Hotel, Peachtree, Luckie, and Forsyth Streets - 450 outside rooms, all with inner-spring mattresses, private baths and showers, ceiling fans circulating iced water, and full length mirrors. Modern air conditioned Coffee Shop and Dining Room. Postmarked Jun 23, 1958 Tifton, GA. Postage - 3 cent Liberty stamp affixed. Card number 8A40-N.
