- Postcard (color, linen textured, divided back, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches) titled: "Cyclorama. Grant Park, Atlanta, Ga.-14." The Atlanta Cyclorama and Civil War Museum is located in Atlanta, Georgia. The Atlanta Cyclorama is a cylindrical panoramic painting of the Battle of Atlanta. It was purchased and moved to Atlanta in 1891 by Paul Atkinson. The Cyclorama's final day open to the public in Grant Park was June 30, 2015. The building in Grant Park was given to Zoo Atlanta, which uses it as office and event space. The restored cyclorama reopened in April 2019 in the Atlanta History Center in Buckhead. Text on reverse: "The Cyclorama in Grant Park houses one of two of the largest paintings in the world. The picture is a life-like reproduction of the Civil War Battle of Atlanta, fought July 22, 1864. The painting is 50 feet high and 400 feet around and weighs 18,000 pounds. At one time it was sold for $1,000 but a million dollars would not buy it now." Postmarked Nov 17 1948 Atlanta GA. Postage affixed - George Washington 1 cent stamp. Card number 444.
