- Postcard (color, divided back, 3 1/2 x 5 1/2 inches) featuring the St. Simons Lighthouse, built in 1872 to replace the original lighthouse built in 1820. It had been destroyed by Confederate Forces to prevent its use by Federal troops. Text on reverse: St. Simons Island, Georgia Lighthouse and Glynn County Casino. A swimming pool, bowling alleys and skating rink are in and around the building. Postmarked: May 24 1959 11 AM, Tifton, Ga. Postage affixed - 3 cent Liberty stamp.
