- Postcard (color, divided back, 4 X 6 inches, scalloped edges)Card titled: "Owens-Thomas House, 1816, Savannah, Ga" featuring a street view of the Lafayette Balcony on Abercorn St, Savannah, Ga. The Owens-Thomas House is a beautiful English Regency style mansion built in 1819. It was designated a National Historic Landmark in 1976. Today it is operated as a historic house museum by Telfair Museums. Text on reverse: Owens-Thomas House, 1816, Savannah, Georgia. William Jay, architect. Now a house Museum, 124 Abercorn Street. This cast iron balcony, south side showing the acanthus leaf supports, is said to be the site of the Marquis de Lafayette's address to the citizens in 1824. Card number P301207
