Shed porch with tapered square posts. Clapboard siding. Shuttered sash windows with 2/2 lights. Fanlight over double doors. Good condition. Date of Construction: Unknown. This area developed by middle class families from app. 1900-1920. In 1893, A.J. Rountree gave his daughter (Mrs. T.W. Hunter) this new house, known as "West End". She lived here until her death in 1938. Bought by her granddaughter in 1954 (Mary Hunter). She lived there until 1965. Now called the Hunter House. Significant as part of a potential National Register historic district, northwest of the commercial area and along Screven St., very few non-historic structures included.
