- Congratulations to the School of Law's American Constitution Society student group for being named Student Chapter of the Week by its national organization for the week of March 20. The law school's chapter been very active during the 2022-23 academic year. Covering a range of topics, planned events have addressed voting rights, reproductive justice, prisoners’ rights, environmental justice, the Witness to Innocence Project, demystifying the law school experience, National Farmworkers Awareness Week, Transgender Day of Visibility and gun control, among other subjects. The UGA chapter is led by second-year students: President Megan K. Cherry and Vice-Presidents Amanda F. Watson, Stanley A. Maciejczyk and N. Jacquin "Jack" Beaman. First-year representatives include: A. Carolina Mares, W. Eliot Beckham, Kaylee J. Sheppard, Nicodemus R. "Nico" Boggs, Sierra R. Hamilton and Thomas P. Crabb. Associate Professor Christian Turner serves as faculty adviser.
