I am attaching copies of: (1) our Law School Criteria for Appointments, Promotions & Tenure last revised on September 20, 1977 (2) the University's Guidelines for Appointment, Promotion and Tenure as approved by the University Council on May 11, 1988 I am distributing these materials now for two reasons. First, I seek to stimulate thought and discussion as to whether the Law School's criteria are in need of revision. Second, I would ask any faculty member who would like to be considered for promotion during the 1988-1989 academic year to let me know promptly of their desire to be considered.
