- In this series of WSB newsfilm clips from March 1, 1978, preparations are being made for the trial of Larry Flynt in Gwinnett County, Georgia. The clips begin with an unidentified man setting up audio visual equipment. This includes closeup shots of some of the equipment. Following this are clips of several men, including Mr. Flynt, standing in the court room. This is followed by an interview with Mr. Flynt. He is speaking about how people should be able to avoid temptation without imposing on others' individual rights. After this are clips of men setting up a television camera. People then begin to fill the seats of the courtroom. The following shots include clips of the door to the courtroom and the empty witness stand. There are also closeup shots of some microphones. The camera then follows some cables out of the building. Outside the building are clips of cars and news vans. Back inside, there are more clips of people working with audio visual equipment. This is followed by a sign that reads, "Room 108, State Court Judge Joe Cheeley." Judge Cheeley then walks down a hallway and into the courtroom. The court bailiff then calls the court to order. People outside the courtroom watch the proceedings on a small television. This is followed by a shot of a woman talking on a phone. The clips end with reporter Terry Casey describing how members of the media will be watching the trial on a small television set, outside of the courtroom.
