- In this series of clips, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip arrive to Accra, Ghana on November 9, 1960 for a state visit and are welcomed with large crowds and Ghanaian dancers.
The first clip shows Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip deboarding a plane and being greeted by Ghanaian dignitaries. The next clip shows hundreds of people rushing around. The next clip shows a sign that reads "Long live our first president Osagyefo Kantamanto Freedom." The camera then pans up to show the smiling man who is wearing the sign whose face is painted. A large crowd of people is behind him. The next scene shows Queen Elizabeth II sitting on a stage with other dignitaries. The last scene shows Ghanaians dancing for the Queen and Prince Philip. The stage is in front of the plane they just deboarded. The dancing continues and you can hear drumming. Throughout this final clip, the camera zooms in on the dancers.
