- This series of WSB-TV newsfilm clips depicts scenes from a Tokyo nightclub or recreation center around June 28, 1961. Footage opens with a Tokyo street and a club entrance with flashing lights. People walk around a room filled with numerous dolls and toys and ascend an escalator. Children enter a room full of playground equipment and mechanical arcade games and rides. Adult men and women are shown drinking at a bar. An audience watches a Chinese ribbon dance with traditional music. A young Japanese man sings a rock song with a four-piece band consisting of electric guitar, saxophone, upright bass, and drums. A group of female dancers in feathered headdresses dance a cancan to orchestral accompaniment.
