- In this series of WSB-TV newsfilm clips from May 8, 1959, former president Harry Truman is questioned by reporters on his birthday. He is shown autographing books and walking with reporters. He is asked about his observations on turning 75, and he replies that he's had a very hectic, but happy, life. When asked if the bombing of Hiroshima was the greatest decision he made, he says the decision to go into Korea was the greatest because the whole United Nations was involved with the decision. He is asked what gift he would like for his birthday and he replies another boy in his daughter Margaret's family.
