- In this series of WSB-TV newsfilm clips from May 26, 1958, President Dwight D. Eisenhower speaks about atomic power at the dedication of the Atomic Power Station in Shippingport, Pennsylvania. The front of the White house is shown, where the dedication takes place. Eisenhower speaks about how atomic energy can be used to generate electricity and open up other energy possibilities for the benefit of mankind. He then demonstrates electricity being generated using a neutron rod.
