- In this series of WSB-TV newsfilm clips from 1958, various unidentified white people are seen evidently searching for the Loch Ness Monster at Loch Ness in Scotland.
In the first clips, a boat is seen in the waters of Loch Ness. In the next clip, a small rowboat goes out to meet it, and an unidentified white woman can be seen walking on the shore. The next clips show a group of unidentified people, evidently white men, on board the boat as two unidentified people are dressed in deep sea diving gear and enter the lake. The next clip shows an unidentified white man on board the boat, filming into the lake with a large camera. The next clip shows bubbles rising from the water, presumably from where the second diver entered the lake. The next clip shows an unidentified white man wearing headphones and probably tracking the divers' progress; he may be looking at a monitor. The next clip shows one of the divers emerging from the water near a rubber raft. The next clips show two unidentified white men standing near a tree and watching the action on the lake. Both gesture excitedly. One man has a telescope, which he passes to the other, who holds binoculars. The next clip shows a swan on the surface of the water. The next clip returns to the same two unidentified white men by the tree. The man holding binoculars looks through the telescope, then returns it the other man with a gesture of evident disappointment as the other man looks through the telescope once more.
