- In this series of WBS-TV newsclips from 1960, Ambassador to the United Nations Adlai Stevenson II is shown walking to a desk and sitting before cameramen and photographers. He rebuts former President Harry Truman's criticism of Stevenson's plea in 1956 for the United States to take the lead in an international ban on the testing and further development of hydrogen bombs. Stevenson says Truman should have criticized President Eisenhower who suspended testing in 1958, and the Soviet Union who did so before Eisenhower.
