Description:: Black slug. Segment one: Baby at home, 0:05: A baby girl stands in the open doorway of a house. She walks slowly outside to the camera. She walks across the floor as a woman helps her. Her dad holds her and points out flowers as their dog stands behind them. He picks her up and swings her. She runs up the brick walkway to the camera. She walks up and down the walkway. She hides behind a tree in the yard then walks out. She sits on the end of a seesaw. Someone bounces her on it. Inside, she plays with a top and other toys with her mom. She has a paper cabin that she walks into. Outside, she plays with a spoon and sand in a bowl. At a fence, she looks at a cow. Inside the fence, there are a bunch of goats her size that she stares at, but does not approach. Two baby goats sit together. Some baby pigs come up to sniff her. Her mother feeds the pigs and she gets excited. On a porch, she rides her tricycle. She sits at a mini-piano. She rocks back and forth in a rocking chair. The baby holds a lollipop and rocks in a small chair. She walks in the yard and bends down to look at the pond better. A toy sailboat sails in the pond. She sits down on the front steps. She bends over to smell flowers. Her mother watches her near the pond as another woman helps. She follows her mother around as she pats at the flowers. They try to catch a butterfly. The father holds his daughter as they look out the back of a train. The train drives away. They get off the train ahead of other passengers. She opens a door and closes it. She sits at her baby piano with her hands on the keys. She talks to someone behind the camera. Her father sits by her and gives her something to eat. She licks it and bangs on the piano. Finally she mostly gives up the piano to eat it. Three older girls and the baby ride down the street in a cart pulled with a horse, and on the side is a sign: "GULF." The baby stands in a flower pot. She puts her hand out and gets pouty to make someone help her out. She little girl sits in a small chair and pats a cat. It climbs out of her lap, but her father brings it back and shows her how to pet it. An older girl brings it back the next time it disappears. Their dog joins them. Her father pushes her on a wooden swing while the older girl watches. The older girl stands on the swing and swings fast. The baby watches a bunny. Inside, she plays with the bunny. She sits in the chair with it. A kitten sits on the windowsill and plays with string that someone swings past it. On a dirt path, an older girl and boy wade in a puddle and show the baby how it's done. They all walk in the puddle together holding hands. She walks across it alone. Her father holds her as he stands on a rock, and they wave at the camera. Segment two: Vacation, 9:58. The mother helps keep a hat on her daughters head to keep her in the shade. The father and daughter head out into the waves together. The mother holds the baby in the ocean. She puts her in the water and lets her kick like she's swimming. They dig a hole in the sand and fill it with water for the little girl to sit in. She plays in the sand with her father. A merry-go-round with cars is on the edge of the beach, and she rides it. A woman sits on a wooden bench outside of a large building covered with plants. Three flags fly over the building, including the American flag and the British flag. A car is parked outside on the street. They sit in the same next to a car, where an African American woman applies sunscreen to the mother as she watches her baby play. The father picks the baby up and helps her slide down a hill of sand. She is slow and doesn't slide well. She helps her walk up the hill and jump down the other side. She walks across the beach to the water following her father. They hold hands and bring a raft in the water. He sits her on it and helps her over waves. Black slug. A large group of people crowd around a pool below an elaborate building with a water slide. People sit everywhere on the stones outside. A girl jumps off a diving board. The mother and an African American woman walk with the baby between them holding their hands. Someone slides down the slide. People swim. A bridge provides a place to cross the water. The baby stands in shallow water, but falls over. Other children and mothers stand around her and play with her. A girl standing in a tube waves at the camera. The mother carries the baby to put her down in the water. Other children swim and play in water tubes. The little girl enjoys splashing in the water. Her mother tries to teach her to swim. The father sits in a tube with her and bounces. He swirls her and her mother around. There are people playing all around. Segment three: At home, 16:25. The little girl plays with a sprinkler in a pool. Someone helps her water plants. She sits in the grass playing with a kitten. She and another girl are pulled in a wagon. An African American woman helps feed her as she sits at a picnic table with an older girl. The family drives in a car down a dirt road to a puddle. The little girl runs straight to the puddle. She sits down in it. Her father swings her through it. Two babies and two older girls play on the seesaw together. An older girl swings string on a stick back and forth in front of the kitten. There is a toy at the end. Three babies sit and play at the baby piano. They are supervised by slightly older girls. One of the older girls dances. The baby bangs on the piano. She gets up and takes the seat with her. Segment four: Beach, 19:45. A woman holds the girl up at the top of a mound of sand. She stands on the sand by her father. A building in the background has "BATH HOUSE" painted on it. Her father skips behind her as they walk toward the water. He holds her hand as they wade into the water together. He digs a hole in the sand for her, which she sits in. He dumps wet sand on her lap and she plays with it. Down by the water, he cleans her off. They walk into the waves together. The father spins the baby and older sister around on a raft in a pool. Segment five: In water, 20:52. The baby stands in a pool with a fountain. She sticks her face in it to drink. She pushes the water down. A few older girls splash in the pool with her. They play with the water and the fountain. In a pond, she floats in a ring. Her father swims with her and keeps her close. They swim out far toward the middle. The older girl swims in a ring too and splashes water. A friend joins her and they splash in the water together. Segment six: Home, 23:16. An older girl and the baby dance together. A dog jumps down toward them. The baby pushes the dog in a baby carriage until the dog leaps out. The older girl pushes the baby in the baby carriage, which is too small for her. She rides on a tricycle. She walks in the yard in shoes that are too big for her. The dog follows closely. She stops and quickly gulps down a drink. Sitting in a rocking chair by the pond, she looks at her reflection in a hand mirror. A woman takes the mirror away. Segment seven: Snow, 24:42. Everyone stands outside in the snow as it comes down. They are bundled up in jackets. An older girl makes a snowball and throws it on the baby's back. The two girls throw snow at the baby. Segment eight: Playing with toys, 25:11. The little girl sits in her play house. She plays with the toy doll in bed. She pushes a tiny toy carriage. She sits outside the play house and reads a book. She opens a wrapped package. She immediately puts it in her mouth. There are other presents to open. It's a toy accordion, which she pulls apart and pushes back together. She sits at a tiny piano and plays for the dolls and stuffed animals she has laid out. Her father sits at the tiny piano and plays for her. Outside, she has roller skates on her feet and her father pulls her around as he tries to get her to skate. She walks through a trail in the woods while wearing a heavy jacket. She sits on a tree branch and plays on it like it's a seesaw. Her father rides a horse while holding her in the saddle in front of him. Others ride horses with them. On a path, she rides her tricycle. Down by the pond, she stumbles on the sloped ground. The girl rides on a horse with her older sister. She rides along in the saddle as her younger sister holds on and father leads the horse. Segment nine: Easter, 29:38. The little girl stands outside rubbing her eyes while baskets sit at her feet. She looks in a basket and pulls a live chick out of it. It walks over to a bush where she can't follow. The mother puts the chick in her hands. She has two chicks. They are standing on the porch where she can pet them easier. She smiles shyly at the camera. The girl walks around and picks the chicks up. She sits in a high-chair inside with the chicks in front of her. Black slug. Segment ten: Another vacation, 31:22. In a fenced in area, an alligator sits on the edge of water. The mother holds the baby up so she can see better. As an alligator opens its mouth, a man pokes it with a stick. In a large pit there are more than twenty alligators walking around and laying down. Ostriches run around in a fenced in enclosure. At the beach, the baby is in a jacket. They play in the foam that the waves leave on the beach. The baby sits alone at the top of a tall lifeguard chair. They play ring-around-a-rosie outside of a building. It is a mother, two older girls, and two young girls. They walk and play around a color wheel. The father tries to help them play correctly. On the beach, the group plays in the sand. They play in the water and with the foam again. The girls sit together and wait for the waves to wash over them. They run around on the sand. The baby brings foam to the camera. When the waves get to them, they run out of the water. The group sits together in the sand. A woman in a long coat watches them. They gather sand and water to build something. In the color wheel area, two of the girls play with a puppy and a ball. An older girl tries to do a headstand. The baby sits on a horse. She runs to the incoming waves to drop sand in the water. The girl rides a tricycle. She sits at a table twisting something in her hands before putting it in a bowl. Just past the breaking waves, two boats sit in the ocean. The view of the houses along the beach stretch the length of it. A man twirls and umbrella as he sets it up to create shade. A little girl runs to the adults sitting under the umbrellas and sits down on the towel. In a float vest, the little girl goes out into the ocean with her mother. They float in the ocean with some other adults. They try to teach her how to swim. The father runs behind a canoe that the little girl sits in as the waves wash it onto the shore. The adults ride a surfboard through the waves. They canoe into the ocean. The father is using a rake as a paddle. By the umbrellas, they dig a hole in the sand. The father and daughter run in the sand together, while he tries to get her. Cars drive on the beach. The girl runs to the water. The father buries his daughter up to the neck under the sand. Just her head sticks out. She struggles and moves around trying to get out. After a while she gets her arms out. The legs take more time. There are minnows swimming around in a pool of water in the sand. She tries to catch them with her hands. She plays games with her parents. They go out into the water to float some more. She swims in the ocean without any help. There are houses on the beach. The girl is fishing with a long rod in a pond. She holds up her catch for the camera. She catches multiple fish. The mother tries to get their dog into the pond, but it won't go in. Women walk down a path in boots and dresses. There is a reflection pool in a secluded garden. Some goes onto the pond in a canoe. They take turns on the boat ride as others swim. The girl stands on a wooden swing and swings back and forth. The girl tries to get on a bicycle and succeeds after a few attempts. She rides it down the driveway. She helps an African American woman ride a bicycle around the yard. The family goes on a canoe ride. Segment eleven: Home, 47:00. The children play in their pool with floaties. The father plays with his two girls. A man in uniform walks up to the house. He looks at the older girl as she plays with a toy airplane. Inside the house, he plays their piano. Black slug.
