Description:: Test pattern. Black slug. Segment one: Party, 0:54. A group of little girls play together outside in a circle. They are jumping and running in a circle. One shows a small black puppy to the camera. They walk in a line around a pond. A mother hands out balloons on sticks to the girls. They wave them around in the yard and play with them. Two girls play on a small seesaw. One swings. Two ride in a toy car together as another is on a tricycle. An African American woman leads them through a game of "Ring-Around-the- Rosie." Two older girls form a tunnel and play "London Bridge is Falling Down" with younger children. A woman tries to help them. A little girl gets two presents. Children swing on the swing set, two of them standing. Children smile at the camera. A child rides a tricycle. Girls walk and shake hands with each other. They walk around a table set with food and fancy dishes and sit down to eat. They smile at the camera. A birthday cake is set down at one end of the table for the birthday girl. It has six lit candles. The girls eat. A group of girls stand in the dark and sing. Segment two: Play, 5:45. A curtain opens and reveals a boy at a table doing something with a newspaper. Some girls come in and find him on the floor. They talk about him while wearing paper hats with music notes. Another girl in a fairy costume comes on stage to talk to them. They run off. She walks over to the boy and waves her wand at him. A girl comes out with a paper sign: "THE WOODEN SOLDIER." A child dressed like a soldier goes over to the little piano and plays it briefly before walking off. Paper sign: "TAP TAP TAP." A little girl walks out and ruffles her dress, then claps her hands and spins around before walking off stage. Paper sign: "KITES AND KIMONOS." A girl comes out and plays the piano. Paper sign: "THE JOLLY FARMER." A child comes out dressed like a farmer and plays the piano. Paper sign: "THE POLICE MAN." A child comes out dressed like a police officer and talks to the crowd. All of the characters come out and the boy from the beginning gets up. He leads them through a song with musical instruments. Two boys wearing capes play bugles. More characters in various outfits come out, including an Uncle Sam. Segment three: Play date, 9:28. Children sit at a table and count out pennies in front of them. There are plates, cups, napkins, Ketchup, and pickles on the table. The girls try to hop on one foot down the sidewalk in a large group. They play on a playset together and hang upside down. A woman scoops food onto plates for the girls at the table. There is a small table for those who didn't fit at the big one. Segment four: Piano, 11:20. A girl in a nice dress plays the piano. She smiles while she plays. She moves to a different piano with two keyboards to continue playing. Once done, she stands by the curtain and smiles at the camera. Segment five: Snow, 12:22. The camera films flurries falling outside from behind a window. The ground is covered in snow. The snow comes down heavily in front of the house. A holly bush has white on it. A woman walks outside in the snow in a heavy coat. She touches the snow on the flower bushes. More of the ground is covered. Girls play in the snow outside and throw it at each other. They pose together and smile. They pose in front of a holly bush. Segment six: Playing, 14:15. A group of girls play together on a playset. They swing with two on each swing. Inside, the girls sit around a table eating lunch. An African American woman brings them more food. A woman brings out a cake with chocolate icing for one girl to blow the candles out. She then tries to cut pieces for them. Segment seven: Adult party, 15:47. Adult couples dance together at a party. The room has a small bed in it. The music changes and they slow dance. All of the couples are laughing and having fun. The music gets faster and then dance more modern dances. Everyone is watching one couple dance. Back to slow dancing. Black slug. Segment eight: Children's party, 17:56. A large group of girls in nice gowns pose together in the room the adults were previously dancing in. They laugh at something. The girls sit in a circle and talk and laugh. They play funny games, similar to team building exercises. A woman talks with the girls and leads them in an exercise with scissors. They dance around in a pretend play. One of the girls jumps over a candlestick. The stage is set up with a Christmas setting. All of the girls pretend to leave and say goodbye to the host. Outside, the do wheelbarrow races to the end of the driveway and back. The dogs join them. Some girls stand in the road to cheer them on. They also do wooden spoon races, which the dogs also join in. Back inside, they pretend to be receiving awards and sharing speeches around a fake microphone. There is a lot of laughter. In the stage area, they continue putting on their fake play and messing around. All of the girls stand together and say something to the camera. Segment nine: Pool, 24:00. A large group of boys and girls swim in a pool together and splash around. A girl comes over to the camera and smiles. Some of the boys are pushing each other into the pool. Segment ten: Cooking and homes, 25:16. Two women work in the kitchen together making something. Large baskets of peaches. The house is shown from across the street. So is another house. And another. The camera shows a lot of the houses on their street, including the pool area. Segment eleven: Posing, 26:11. Three girls stand together in gowns and walk toward the camera. They pose together and laugh. Young women walk out of the house together in nice dresses and heels. They walk outside and head over to the pool where they sit on a bench. The camera films them walking out of a gate and through the garden. They pose by trees then the pool. They wave to the camera. Segment twelve: Dance party, 27:57. Adults dance together in couples in a room with a small bed in it. They dance quickly and do lots of spins. Everyone watches one couple dance together. They change a different couple dances. They change more times. They slow dance together. One man is in a military uniform. They go the stage area and put on a silly pretend show. Some of them are just lounging around. There are many different scenes. Two of the men fake fight. The next scene includes a bunch of people holding up branches of plants. A man holds up a paper explaining the scene that is illegible. In one scene they are handed small props to use. Segment thirteen: Christmas, 34:34. A young woman in a nice red gown walks toward the camera. She poses in front of a mirror with candle decorations and talks to the camera. Black slug.
