Description:

Black slug. Segment one: Vacation in Norway, Scotland, and New York City, 0:05. The camera shows a large waterway. There is a town nearby. People walk around between the buildings. There is a ramp built up on a hill. People in a car wave at the camera. They stop to look at the view of the river and mountains in the distance. Many cars and a lot of people are stopped at a scenic overlook looking at a waterway. A woman makes a face at the camera. A car drives by. People in a car wave. A man tries to climb up a statue. People are sitting in a car. The camera pans up Borgund Stave Church. It films houses with grass roofs. A crowd waits outside the building as the last people leave. A garden area of a building is shown. The group waits outside a building. A woman climbs up carved steps. Someone sits inside by a window. A woman in a Norwegian outfit opens a door and smiles shyly for the camera. In a town. On the water. A building with a clock tower on top. Houses in the hills by the water. Snowy mountains in the distance. A car with a foreign license plate on front. Small islands in the middle of the water. People drive toward the snowy mountains and stop by a peaceful lake. There is water cascading down a large hill. They get out excitedly at a beach area right across the water from the snow. A man runs up to the snow when they get to it. He starts making snowballs and throwing them at the camera, then slides down the hill. They play in the snow. The camera shows snow elsewhere. They play on a wooden rocking horse. Inside somewhere, they sit down and enjoy tea. A mountain goat climbs out of the car. A small child plays with wild mountain goats. Snowy mountains across the water. Water cascades down a mountainside. Borgund Stave Church is shown again. A wooden bell tower with a cross on top is shown. The Borgund Stave Church is shown from farther away. Water flows through a river that they are driving alongside. Water flows in a waterfall down a mountainside. Snowy mountains in the distance. They drive down a road. Another waterfall. They are inside a church building without a roof that is mostly stable, but falling apart a little bit. Another building is a castle. Men in Highland uniforms march and stand guard outside the building. A stone building across the street. A large crowd walks up a walkway. Buildings that look like castles are shown. A black terrier walks by. A domed building like a mausoleum. Other stone buildings with iron signs are passed by. People walk out of a doorway. On the back of a truck "T & H. Smith. LTD BLANDFIELD CHEMICAL WORKS EDINBURGH." Double decker trolleys pass by on the roads. Boys in uniforms stand in a crowd together outside of a building. Tombstone: "JOHN GRAY DIED 1858 "AULD JOCK" MASTER OF "GREYFRIARS BOBBY" "AND EVEN IN HIS ASHES MOST BELOVED" ERECTED BY AMERICAN LOVERS OF "BOBBY"." Across the street, there is a statue of a small terrier, Greyfriar's Bobby. The camera films train tracks. People climb onto carriages pulled by horses. They ride them down a dirt road by a lake (loch). Across the water is a castle. The carriage is stopped in the road so the camera can film it. Sign: "LOCH KATRINE ROAD CLOSED FOR MOTOR TRAFFIC." On the water is a boat. People overlook the water. The horses carry them further down the road. More views of the horse carriage. There is a boat on the water pulling a person skiing. People walk through a garden with statues, busts, and old buildings. There is a large pond in the middle. A windmill sits behind one of the garden buildings. Various scenes of the garden are shown. The camera films a large elaborate building with a domed roof and statues all around it. Black slug. A truck with steam coming out of it backs into a spot and a man jumps off. It is in an industrial area. A steam powered train engine drives down a train track. There is a large ship in the harbor with "MAJESTIC" painted on the side. Cottages sit amongst trees. A man and two women stroll down a path covered by trees. A woman tries to start a crank start car. Another large is ship is shown, the Leviathan. People walk along the dock alongside it. The front of the Majestic is shown. People and cars pass by railroad tracks. Men unload giant bags from a ship. Smaller ships and sailboats float in the water. A military ship floats by. There are large groups of sailboats. Waves crash out from the side of a boat. A dog on the ship laps at the water and pulls at a hose. A man plays tug-of-war with the dog. Lots of people watch. The front of the ship is shown from above. Captains walk along the bridge. The camera pans along the length of the ship from up high. Smoke comes out of a large smokestack. A man and woman goofily dance around on deck. A group of couples dance together. They pose for the camera together, then dance some more. They play around on deck, including a game of leapfrog. They dance some more. They pose on the ship. There are ships in the harbor sailing around the Statue of Liberty. New York City can be seen across the water through the haze. The camera plans along the water, but it is very hazy. Many of the ships in the water are transmitting smoke. People have lined the sides of the ship to watch the city come into view. Many tall buildings can be seen of the skyline. A building with two paddlewheel ships has "FALL RIVER LINE" painted on it. People stand posing for the camera on a bridge. There is a large rock in the background. A house sits off the road surrounded by trees. A young girl holds a small fan. She aims the fan at a baby. She sits on a swing and aims it at herself. A man stands in the doorway of a store with a sign: "COTSWOLD COMFORTABLE CO." A trolley moves through a city with a car driving behind it. A girl runs by the camera. A woman walks out of a grocery store with paper bags in her hands and a man trailing behind her with more. It has "IF IT GROWS WE HAVE IT" painted on the window. The girl runs by again. She joins her mother outside a store. Sign: "BYRNES BROS. PHARMACY." A large group of people walk away from a waterfall. Some people walk down a concrete path in the woods. There is a railing on a bridge blocking them from the waterfall. They sit on a bench and look up. People on the higher bridge wave at the camera before it pans down to follow the water. A woman walks out of a tunnel to some stairs followed by another woman and a man. A car drives down trolley tracks. They drive beside a train. They are in town and pass many buildings, cars, and people. The car turns away from the trolley tracks. Smoke from a train trails in the air along a train track. "THE END" screen. Black slug. Segment two: Family and Fort Frederica28:18. A woman sits in the water and plays with a baby. The rest of the family sits with them, including a young girl and a dog. A man holds the baby up. The surroundings of the pool is shown. The family walks out of a house and sits down on the porch together. The house lines right up to a beachy area. They are all dressed in similar colors. Two men stand together underneath a large tree with Spanish moss. Two men walk out of a small building together. Sign: "This moat dug in 1736, surrounded the town of Frederica and was a part of the fortifications." The camera films the moat and the trees around it. Sign: "FORT FREDERICA erected in 1736 by English soldiers and settlers under direction of Gen. Oglethorpe." Two men walk on top of a stone fort covered in plants. A man observes the fort from the outside. A rusting cannon lays on the ground. Another building that is falling apart is shown. A beach house is shown. People walk around in the yard. There is a table set up that two people are relaxing at. A woman walks down the stairs holding a baby as the young girl follows. An abandoned building is shown. Across the water is a nice building. From across the grass, the camera pans along a white resort-like building. The baby sits on a cushion. A dog comes over and stands by the baby. Segment three: Flood, 31:53. A boy tries to cross a flooded area by walking on sticks. He makes it much farther than the adults behind him. He walks along a wall as they are all still at the sticks. Water is flowing quickly around trees and through buildings. A snake slithers across the sand. Water is up to the top of stones. Sign: "Morning Joy Coffee "Truly The Aristocrat of Coffees"." Water is much higher everywhere than it should be. A vehicle tries to drive through the water. In the city, the water is flooding the buildings as well. The sun reflects on the water. A can is stuck in the water. The camera captures the view from the inside of a car driving through the water. Segment four: Fun, 33:27. A woman unscrews the top of a can at a picnic in the woods. Two women walk down the front steps of a house toward the camera. A man slides backward head first down a slide into the water. A woman follows him. He dives off the side and swims around. A woman climbs down a ladder. A man fishing catches a fish and pulls it into their boat. A girl points a dog into the water outside. A woman sits next to a large dog petting it. A woman carries a dog that is half her size. When they sit down, it just stays in her lap. The two women sit on a bench together with their three dogs. A man steers a boat across a lake with a woman skiing behind him. They return to the dock. More skiing on the water. A man and his dog swim in the lake together. The lake and its surrounding mountains are shown from the road. Men look around the forest. A group walks around a trail together. The lake is shown again, and from the boat. A field sits in a valley below tall mountains. Segment five: Mountains, 37:44. Tall mountains are shown from up high. Trees and flower bushes line a path. A man and a woman sit on the porch of a cabin in the woods. A man walks down the stairs toward the camera. Two dogs come down the stairs and pant with their tongues hanging out. A boy plays with a bow and arrow. A couple of men join him. A woman looks out at the lake from the deck with binoculars. A boy tries to water ski backwards. He sits down on the skis and turns around then stands back up. The men have one of the dogs on the boat with them while the boy is skiing. A boat speeds past the camera. Someone else is out skiing. One of the men skis outside of the wake. The dog skis behind the boat. A woman is out canoeing. A man, older woman, and boy walk down the stairs of the house. The woman works in the garden while the boy walks one of the dogs. The older woman pretends she is going to shoot an apple off the boy's head. A woman is out in a canoe alone. The boat is called "SEEHAW." Black slug. Segment six: Outside, 43:07. Two women and a man walk through the woods toward a river. They joke around with sticks. A blimp flies overhead past houses and trees. Women sit on a beach area of the river by a boat. A man sits on the boat. They go out into the water. One of the men carries one of the women to shore. They play around in the sand and water. Someone dives off the side of a small ledge. Beside the car, two women play around with a small harp. One dances in a field with it. A woman writes something down. A man takes off in a glider over a hill. The second one does a better job. A man stands in the shadows smiling and talking to the camera. Some people stand together outside on a dock. One of the boats is called "OLD BILL." A younger man drives a motor boat on a river. The camera films the rocky cliffs on the side. There is a house on a flat place by one of the cliffs. A paddlewheel boat and other smaller boats are on the water with them. The camera pans around a small wooden roller coaster made for cars. Sign: "HOTEL ST. LOUIS." A woman sits at the front of the boat watching the larger ships on the water come toward them. The paddlewheel boat comes close by and leaves smoke. A small boat powers through the water. A woman holds a small dog wearing a hat and shows him off to the camera. She puts the dog on a leash to walk around. He plays fetch and sniffs around. People sit in a boat together as it flows through the water. There is a train up on the bank. A canoe goes by in the opposite direction. The camera pans up to the rocky cliffs above the train. Larger boats speed past. People swing on a rope from shore into the water. A man looks out over the water from the boat. A lot of people relax on a beach and swim in the water. The camera pans along the beach and shows all of the people. People lay and sleep. A man and woman sit in the water by the boat cleaning it. Two young boys play in the water. Two men do acrobatics together. The camera films a man and woman up close. It films a lot of different people on the beach. Segment seven: Adventures, 52:40. Three men walk out of an elaborate home. They play around for the camera. Some women walk out on a dock together. One has an umbrella. A group of boys carry a canoe down to the water together. Two of the boys box on the sand. As some boys get the canoe ready, the other boys box in the sand. They run back and forth. The boys walk single file down a car path. The camera shows a group of the boys out in the canoe. They all toss sand at a boy. They are buried in the sand and pretend to sleep. The boys run down the sandy hill into the water. Three of them take the canoe out. Two boys splash water at each other. A boy tries to chop a stick. They get sticks to roast food over a fire. They wear just shorts and stick their bellies out. One boy climbed up high in a tree. Two boys canoe by. A group of boys are in a tree. Black slug.
