Description:: Test pattern. Black slug. "Harris Reel 25." Segment one: Military, 0:44. A man walks in front of a large stone arch. A fancy building with stained glass windows has a statue of a man outside of it. There are statues of men on horses on top of it. A large building has extremely tall columns and writing at the top. Soldiers walk around the sidewalks and military vehicles drive down the streets. The camera shows the view of trees and the town from up above. The city spread is shown in a valley from up on a hill. The surrounding hills are shown as well. Railroad tracks have burned trains on them and men working on the tracks. A group of buildings are painted in camouflage. There is a barren and dirty area with men standing in it. A couple of men work on a truck, while others have a horse and cart. There are letters written into the side of the hill. Soldiers march through the streets. Other soldiers stand by a fence in a group. A building has many holes in the building itself and the roof. The fields in the valley are shown. The military vehicles drive through a town. Sign: "NO ENTRY." People line a street. Airplanes fly low over the ground. In a tent, some men drink and smoke. There is a telephone in the tent. Airplanes sit out in a sandy field. Men sit at the control of an airplane. The airplane ahead of them is taking off. They are flying. The camera films the structure of the wing and the ground below them. It also films out the front window. There are cliffs off to their right. Most of the land on the ground is either forest land or farm land. There is also a coast. The military planes land on a dirt runway. A tall tower is shown with the windows shot out. A woman and a little girl sit by the window and soldiers give the girl something. The mother stares and points at the camera. A large building with many statues and intricate carving is shown. Other buildings have been reduced to rubble. People dig through the rubble. Soldiers walk in front of a fountain with human and animal statues called the Fountain of Artemis. People walk around the plaza area. There are military people and civilians. A building has "BANCO DI SICILIA" engraved on the side. Soldiers are on the move with large packs on their backs. People walk around with animals through the hills. More ruins are shown with mountains in the background. People walk around the ruins. In a different place, there are plants amongst the ruins. "Harris Reel 26." Segment two: Christmas, 14:15. Children are dressed up and sit in front of a Christmas tree. Ther parents interact with them and smile. A gift is taken from under the tree and given to a girl. Other children are given gifts as well. Two boys in matching shirts watch each other open their presents. One boy gets two toy cars. The other boy gets one as well. Adults join in opening and giving presents as well. An older boy received a radio. An older girl received a bracelet. A woman plays the piano and everyone stands around her singing. Sometimes only she is singing. Black slug. The children have changed into pajamas and are playing with toys again. There are stil full stockings on the mantle. A baby is put in a rocking horse. Black slug. The older children try to rock the baby. "Harris Reel 27." Segment three: Baby, 18:39. A baby stands in his crib. He smiles at the African American housekeeper, who mesmerizes him with a broom. The mother makes faces at him. There are lots of toys in the crib. The tries to put his shoes on, but has trouble. She gives him a ball, but he repeatedly drops it on the ground. He claps. The nurse comes in and plays with him. She holds a present out to him. The woman walks out of the house with the baby. They are both bundled up in jackets. Back inside, he is in a play pen with a woman cooing at him. A couple of women play with him and talk to him. "Harris Reel 29." Segment four: Baby Outside, 23:12. The baby is in a play pen outside without any clothes on. There are toys in the play pen. He claps. He stands up in the pen. He looks like he will start crying many times, but doesn't. He sticks his fingers in his mouth. He stands and sits in a pushing toy. There are toys for him to play with. An older boy comes and plays with him. He hands the baby the toys when he throws them away. He plays with the toys. The toy is stationary in the sand. "Harris Reed 30." Segment five: Baby Bundled Up, 27:33. The baby walks around in a blue winter outfit. He walks to the camera. He walks and falls down a lot. The mother tells him to walk to the car, but he falls down on the way. The shadow of a man can be seen when he walks to the camera. They walk in the street, and he stops to feel something on the ground. The man holds the baby and walks toward the camera. They walk along a dirt road. He points out something in the sky to the baby, who looks but doesn't seem to see it. At the house, the baby opens the door to walk inside. Another woman joins them outside. They bring a little girl outside, too. She is about his age. She doesn't want to walk, and is instead held by a different man. They sit and play with toys. She crawls instead of walking. The boy walks over to the camera. "Harris Reel 31." Segment five: The beach, 32:12. Children run in the same at the beach. A mother helps a little one into the water. One of the older boys splashes into the waves. The toddler sits in the sand and the waves hit him. The boys throw sand. Black slug. At a house, a man shows off a small shark he caught. The kids are still in their bathing suits and stand around him. They play in sand by a dock in the marsh at the house. The older boy smiles for the camera and poses with the little girl. A man walks out of the house with the little girl and older boy. A woman follows with the younger boy. He doesn't want to walk where he is told. They run around outside in just shorts. The parents pass off the daughter. Back at the beach, the boys play in the water. The younger boy gets washed away a bit by the waves. The younger boy sits on a dog in the water. The older boy carries the dog into the water. "Harris Reel 32." Segment six: Family, 36:46. A woman poses in front of a car with a baby, a boy, and a dog. A man has to come and take the dog inside when it starts jumping toward the baby. A woman with a baby and two older girls walks with her husband across the yard toward the camera. She sits the baby down in the yard, then picks it back up. The family sits in the yard and plays with the baby. The grandmother tries to walk across the frame of the camera quickly. A toddler stands in the grass. A man holds the baby and tries to get it to look at the camera. He tries to make the baby smile. The grandmother poses for the camera. The two girls walk toward the camera together. A man plays with the puppy. The older girl blows bubbles from gum for the camera. A woman stands in front of the bushes and laughs at the camera. A dressed-up girl joins her. They walk closer to the camera. A woman hands another woman a cloth from the porch. The woman puts her hat on and poses by flowers. A man poses by the same flowers. He smokes a cigarette. A woman holds the baby. "Harris Reel 33." Segment seven: Baby, 41:51. The baby sits on the floor playing with cans. He is wearing blue overalls. He stands up and puts his arms out. He is shown in different rooms. He crawls along the floor and reaches into the toilet. He sits on the ground and plays with a stick. He pulls open drawers. He plays with a small bat and cries. He is laid on a bed so they can change his diaper. His clothes and shoes are taken off as well. The mother plays with him on the bed. "Harris Reel 35." Segment eight: Vacation, 46:36. Boys play in the waves. An older boy stands in the waves smiling, then falls. They go out in a boat, and one of them is asleep. A different boy waves at the camera. One of the men is fishing. They pose on a boat with a large fish that they caught, and a smaller one. Two boys walk around looking at fish that were caught. Sign: "DAYTONA BEACH CAUGHT AT INLET HARBOR." They pat the fish. Women and girls join the men on the dock and boat. The women stay behind on the dock. A boy smiles as he packs the car with suitcases and other stuff. A restaurant is called "TROPICS." The building is called "ELLINOR VILLAGE." They drive over a long bridge with the railing flying past. The uprights have soldiers waving at the cars. In a wooded area, they are stopped eating lunch. The cooler has a "Budweiser" sticker on it. The boys wave at the camera. There is a sign: "Coca-cola." Two boys play on a see-saw. "Harris Reel 36." Segment nine: The beach, 50:57. A young girl sits in the water with a baby as a young boy plays next to them. An African American maid holds the baby up on the beach. The camera zooms in on the baby. The children lie on their stomachs in the sand. The boy plays in the water, while the other two sit in it. There are very few other people at the beach. The land on the beach is developed, mostly with houses. The mother sits with the baby in the water and sand. She splashes water on the baby when the waves come. "Harris Reel 37." Segment ten: Family. Children are hanging out outside and playing with each other and a dog. Two of them are on the see-saw. A woman walks out of the house and stands with the children. Some of them wave for the camera. They have a lot of suitcases and other things outside by the car. One of the boys is playing with a gas mask. The women sit outside watching the men. A woman stands on the beach in shallow water. Some other people are swimming in the ocean. They try to ride the waves. A boy walks around outside by an old well. An older boy is outside with him. They walk up some stairs toward the house. They play with a dog in the yard. Family member stand together outside. It is getting dark. Boys ride bikes down the road. The boys stop and talk with an African American woman walking down the street. "Harris Reel 40." Segment eleven: The beach and military (possibly Morocco), 59:37. A man digs in the sand. Two men sit against rocks talking with each other. Some men build sand forts together. Other men play in the ocean. A little boy stands in the fort. A couple of women join the men on the beach. An airplane flies out over the water. A train is full. Soldiers walk around near a trolley with children on it. On a pole, there is a poster "COASTAL COMMAND." People stand around in a square. Military vehicles drive down the road. A lot of bicycles are standing up at a stand. Inside a building, military personnel work with tapes and boxes. On the beach, there are tents set up. A military vehicle drives behind a stone. People lounge around. They dig holes. There are soldiers and families. The women and men are working on breaking things. Some children stand in a group for the camera. There are donkeys and camels in the street. People line the streets everywhere. A man gets out of a military truck. A woman rides a bicycle through the crowd. A large building is shown with "ANFA HOTEL" on the top of it. Soldiers stand outside of the doors. On the side of the building is "LE RESTAURANT PANORAMIQUE." A truck drives down the road. People pose for the camera in the street. Lots of vehicles drive through the street. Some men cook meat in a pot together. Military men by a jeep look up at the camera. Some children block their faces from the camera. Women lounge on the beach, some try to share themselves. A military truck with a white star on the door. Lots of people are out on the beach. An airplane flies overhead. A woman in an officers hat waves at the camera, then hides her face with the hat. There are people all over the beach, mostly in the sand. Another airplane flies over. The airplanes are fairly low. People play around in the sand. A man plays with dogs at the beach. Couples with children ride in carts pulled by horses. Other people ride bicycles alongside them. An officer fixes his uniform. The beach area is shown as they drive by it. There is a military ship in the distance on the water. Black slug.
