- Jean Gosdin and Jerry Miller from Milstead won MVP Trophies for the textile league basketball torurnament in 1960. The R on Jerry Miller's letter jacket is for Rockdale County High School. Milstead Mill is in Rockdale County. Jerry Miller was an athlete at Rockdale High. Teen Day was the culmination of the teen-age basketball turnaments held in the Callaway Mills communities in LaGrange, Milstead, and Manchester.
