- Description:
- The house was home to several prominent LaGrange citizens. John P. Herndon who had the house built was a local building contractor responsible for many of the early brick buildings in LaGrange. John H. Glanton, a descendent of one of Troup County's earliest settlers, was a considerably large landowner. Wiley A. Reeves, Sr., was a local banker. During the Civil War, the house was reputedly used as a hospital for both Union and Confederate soldiers. It was moved to Grantville, GA, in the late 1980's.
