- Built between 1853 and 1855, Bellevue was designed by an architect names Taylor and built by Littleton Burke. It was constructed for Benjamin Harvey Hill, a local attorney and member of the Georgia General Assembly. Hill would later serve as a State, Confederate, and U.S. Senator.
