- Description:
- Opened in 1922, the Highland Country Club features a Donald Ross-designed golf course, which adds to its historical and architectural prestige. Ross, renowned for his golf course designs, personally supervised the construction of Highland Country Club in 1922 and assisted with another local course in 1947. The club has seen several notable personalities over the years, including Ely Callaway of Callaway Golf, Bobby Jones, Byron Nelson, and Allen Doyle. These individuals have not only played at Highland but have also contributed significantly to its legacy.
