- Description:
- Mill villages, also known asa mill village, is a community that developed around one or more mills or factories, often cotton mills or factories producing textiles. After World War Two, the mills divested of these homes, which were often purchased and renovated by the prior tenants. The position of the front door indicates this was once a "double shotgun" house with two front doors.
