- The collection contains pamphlets, programs, and newspaper reviews featuring information on various danced performances staged by Mrs. James in LaGrange. The programs contain the names of many LaGrange citizens. Of particular interest is a ticket noting that famous blue singer Ella Fitzgerald was entertaining at the LaGrange Cotillion Club dance, June 15, 1940. The photograph collection contains pictures of various events staged by Mrs. James and provides a glimpse into the cultural life of LaGrange youth during the time period.
