- Description:
- Fuller E. Callaway, III excelled at many things he did in both his personal and business life. This collection provides a detailed look at the life of this LaGrange native, his many successes and a few failures. The collection is divided into four series: personal, business, photographs, and artifacts. The collection includes correspondence, publications, news clippings, school records, memorabilia, photographs, telegrams, and scrapbooks. At times his business and personal life were so closely intertwined that the distinction between them blurs. As an example, a letter may begin as a personal narrative but would transition into business correspondence and may conclude with more personal statements. If a document was interpreted to have more important personal qualities than business, it was placed in personal papers.
