- In the Society’s early years, officers maintained their individual records, passing the documents along as their successors were elected. When Troup County Archives opened in 1983, officers and members deposited their records, creating Manuscript Collection No. 1. The records were consolidated and cataloged in January, 1986, and in 1992, a large addition was processed. In the following decades, MS-001 received sporadic additions of newsletters, financial statements, and photographs as the Society’s Executive Director assumed sole responsibility for generating and maintaining records. In May 2018, the collection was inventoried and re-processed.
