- This collection consists primarily of the Civil War correspondence of John J. Hogg to his wife, Susan, at O'Neal's Mill, Troup County, Georgia. It documents his service in Company B, 37th Division, Georgia Militia from June 1862 till January 1865. John J. Hogg (2 June 1829 - 12 June 1895) married Susan Ann McCallay (19 December 1840 - 25 April 1895) in Troup County, 1 May 1856. He was a farmer and schoolmaster. The collection also contains genealogical data on the Hogg family compiled by Mrs. Agricola.
